About Tiffany
Therapeutic Approach
It takes such vulnerability and courage to begin a therapeutic journey, therefore my first goal is to honor that through a connected, collaborative, and trusting relationship deciding together which modalities might work best. I love helping people explore and lean into their values and helping them discover all the parts of themselves. With this, modalities that I find myself gravitating towards most often are Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Internal Family Systems with the hope that you not only gain tools to navigate the struggles you’re experiencing currently but that you may also know yourself more deeply and foster a great deal of self-compassion.
Training and Education
I have been a birth and postpartum doula for the last 9 years. Before that, I provided home visiting for families with children aged birth-3 who have developmental delays and disabilities. I am also a Certified Child Life Specialist, which means I specialize in preparing and supporting families through stressful life events, medical experiences, and grief and loss in order to decrease trauma and increase coping. Additionally, I am a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor and Wonders and Worries Registered Provider. All of this experience has culminated in pursuing my master's in clinical mental health counseling at Northwestern University, fulfilling my clinical hours here as an intern at Reedy-Kay and Associates. I am multi-passionate and always eager to learn more!
Areas of Interest
I am passionate about equipping parents to be the most authentic, connected, compassionate, and fulfilled versions of themselves. Time and again, no matter what specific role or service I am working in, it has always involved helping navigate the triumphs and trials of parenthood. I’m also interested in the unique and often invisible needs of siblings of those who are experiencing medical challenges or life transitions. My background and passions prepare me well for working with a wide variety of experiences during the perinatal period and beyond. I have experience working with grief and loss, birth trauma, perinatal body image, NICU experiences, complex medical needs, sibling needs, children of adult patients, and perinatal body image. I also have a special interest in serving transgender youth and their families.
What Brings Me Joy
I love taking deep dives into passions and projects. I love to travel. I have a husband and 4 children who bring as much joy as they do growth, and who never cease to amaze and inspire me. The newest additions to our family include Graham Cracker and Bogo, our two rescue cats.
